The Balsam pear (Ku Gua Pian) is a fruit that many of us would never have heard of or tasted. It is also known as a bitter melon and is frequently used in Javanese and Indonesian cooking.
This herb, when prepared as a tea, is rumored to have the following benefits:

Add hot water to a cup with 2 to 3 Balsam Pear Slices. Allow to soak for 10 minutes and then drink.
